The Dryfesdale House holds one of the most enviable positions and affords some of the most beautiful views in the whole of Dumfries and Galloway. Steeped in history, the hotel dates back to 1762, but with all the up-to-the-minute amenities you would expect from a top-class hotel.
The hotel is an ideal place to unwind from everyday stresses. There are 28 luxuriously appointed bedrooms, all fully en suite with modern facilities and superb views of the surrounding countryside. There are ground floor rooms with one specially adapted for disabled use. The hotel is situated just 19.3 km/ 12 miles from Gretna Green and offers a beautiful and relaxed base to explore the surrounding areas, yet is easily accessible to the motorway. All of the 28 bedrooms are everything you would expect from a 4-star country house hotel. Each one is fully en suite with superb views of the hotel grounds and surrounding countryside. Families are welcome and pets are also welcome by arrangement. The Garden Suites are all situated on the ground floor and have French windows opening onto their own patio area, the perfect place in the summer months to relax and enjoy the wonderful views. These rooms are also ideal for guests with disabilities and/ or requiring wheelchair access. Recently redecorated and modernised to include a minibar, these rooms offer guests an ideal place to unwind. There are also 3 four-poster suites with individual character, allowing guests to choose their very own style. The remaining bedrooms are all accessible by a spectacular sweeping staircase back lit by a magnificent stained glass window, still in its original splendour. As these are still part of the original house they boast their very own individual views and styles. 2 of these rooms have been refurbished into luxurious suites.

- At junction 17, come off the M74 towards Lockerbie and take the 1st left at the roundabout.
